Fat Bike Grooming Report

January 27th, 2026

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Phat Burner! Trails were in all-time condition and everyone who came out crushed it! Check out our socials for the results.

Mountain Shadows is excellent right now so we’ll just be leaving it as is as the groomers take a much needed vacation away from their machines. Trails are groomed up to the top of Magic Dragon and down Huff and Puff and Chute the Duck. Lower Rollercoaster is in great shape if you want to avoid the ice on Selkirk Slacker. We’ve also put in a line on the Excavation up trail so you can avoid the ice as well. For something different, take a mosey up to the top of the Schacher cut block because this is also in great condition. If you’re taking the road, go up Woodlot Ride instead of the road. The Mount 7 Road isĀ very icy.

Once things start to warm up, we can start assessing the upper CBT side.

Meet at the Reflection Lake Parking lot at 6pm this Thursday, the 29th for a group ride! Bring lights!

If you have any suggestions for what you’d like to see groomed, or if you’ve snowshoed something you’d like to ride, send us an email at admin@goldencyclingclub.com

Remember, fat bike trails are for riding fat bikes only; ie. 4″+ tires. Put the skinny tires away for the season. If you’re making ruts, you’re wrecking the trails and frustrating the groomer!
