June 3, 2017 to June 4, 2017 All Day
For all aspiring trail builders in the Golden area! Join us for a trail building workshop June 3 and 4th on our Golden Trails.
Mark Wood will be making the journey from North Vancouver to BC’s Far East to share the story of the Shore and its re-birth since 2010 to rebuild over 70km of dilapidated trails, stunts & features to bring the birthplace of freeriding back to it’s former glory. Only this time round, the Shore now has something for everybody. Travelling the Province and beyond since 2011, Mark first created the Builders Academy to teach the basics in building and maintenance. Check out his Bio Here.
He has now created the Foundation, a Level I Trail Workshop that offers a holistic approach to building that provides a foundation of knowledge to serve as the building blocks in our new approach. Wood has worked with communities throughout the Province including First Nations, Bike Park crews and stewardship groups to build capacity and improve technique. This Province wide exposure has broadened his approach to understand the dynamics of building in different regions, providing a comprehensive understanding of regional challenges that in some cases, resonate province wide.
On this road trip, he’ll be making stops in Kimberley, Cranbrook, Golden and Revelstoke. From trail repair to restoration, from beginner trails to double black structures, Wood has pretty much done it all and is stoked to share the story of the Shore 2.0 and welcomes you to attend the Foundation Trail Builders 2 day workshop.
