FURIOUS-5 EVENT #3 – THIS FRIDAY JUNE 14TH
Ready to go again GC2 members? Here is the update for the third FURIOUS 5 event of the season. Don’t miss this one!!! Events #1 and #2 turnout was a huge success with about 40 at each! Note that the Events are capped at a maximum of 50 participants, so be sure to sign up early to guarantee your spot.
This week, Hosted by – HIGHER GROUND SPORTS, Event #3 is a CHAINLESS DH style event that is for all ages, and like all the FURIOUS 5 series, it is a format that times multiple short sections within a longer social ride. It is suitable for intermediate to expert riders an dis all downhill with a couple short push bike sections to get over the humps and link segments. Categories are; under 16 (boys and girls), Good Times (men & women), Think UR Fast (men & women).
The Meeting place is at the 6km mark on MT7 road and the event will take place from the Top of 6K finishing in the Rodeo Grounds Parking lot. The Detailed course description will be described at registration and we are asking as many people as possible to pre-register online in order to speed up the chip timing setup. Awards will then be at the Keith King Park shortly after the last rider arrives. Chains can be removed at 6k with tools provided by HGS. PLease bring a ZIPLOCK BAG to put your chain in.

Registration on event day opens at 5pm and the event starts at 6pm. The $5 cash payment for event participation will be collected at registration. DRIVER’S LICENSE, CREDIT CARD or $250 will be needed as a deposit to collect the race chip. Awards location will also be announced at Registration.
Remember that our good friends at PARKY’S HEATING and COOLING are giving away a free BBQ at the end of the series. You get 1 entry for every event you enter during the series for a maximum of 5 chances to win the BBQ at the final event.
